What we are about...

(continued from home page)

The Sonoma County Alano Club was formed to
"aid and assist persons to recover"
In many ways the club  is an open template for the recovery community  to shape and form for its own needs.
The direction of the club is  decided  on by its board of directors which is  directed by its dues paying members once a year and also by its members through monthly membership meetings.

mission statement

Mission Statement:  The specific and primary purpose for which the Sonoma County Alano Club was formed is to carry on as a non-profit corporation activities auxiliary and supplemental to the movement of Alcoholics Anonymous and other substance abuse Twelve-Step programs.  The Alano Club was formed to aid and assist persons recovering from their substance abuse problems by furnishing and maintaining physical facilities for Educational and Recreational Uses.

The Sonoma County Alano Club is a 501 (c) (3) non profit,
509 (a) (2) public charity.  The board of directors and staff are all non-paid volunteers. The club exists from membership dues, meeting room rents, snack bar sales,  fund raising events and your tax deductible contributions.
